The Tenerife artist Alejandro Montañez was invited the second half of this month to teach the workshop "Dialogue between Spanish and Cuban landscape landscape" organized by the Department of Educational Services of the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Havana.

The Canarian painter expose their works of Spanish-Cuban-themed next January 24 to mark the 25th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Among other works he displayed his native island "La Sirena de Masca", "Tenerife Guanche", "Papas, salt and pulpit leaking", and Cuba "La Sirena del Castillo del Morro," "Havana January 6 3:00 a.m." and "eyes arriving, eyes that remain, eyes that are in an hourglass." From these creations shall be forged by the children in the workshop a large canvas which will then exhibited at the Museum.

Alejandro Montañez, completely self-taught, is at an intermediate point between abstract and figurative expressionism.

At its inception in 2007 opted for the small format with basic techniques such as charcoal, graphite or pastries and a variety of colors, plus a certain mystique harmonization. In 2008 he began a process of change to larger formats such as canvas, using acrylic to reinforce their vision.
