Sun Gate

I painted this work to remember my time at La Puerta del Sol, in the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, in Peru. 

The condor, puma and snake were responsible for guarding the three worlds that made up Inca mythology.

I painted a Being with a condor beak, puma claw and tail of a serpent symbolising the fusion of these three animals and the three worlds.
