The Sunrises. The Phoenix is Reborn.

I dedicate this painting to all those people from the Canary Islands who emigrated to America in search of a new life.

The Canary Island Palms (Phoenix Canariensis), which although difficult to see in those lands, for me symbolise the heart of every emigrant from the Canary Islands, who although were forced to leave their island and go to the New World, never forgot their roots and customs.
